What Does This CT Scan Result Indicate?

Yes, my father 82 years old had a ct scan which revealed atrophy with microvasculat white changes and I am question ing what this means. Does this indicate vascular dementia? He had the ct scan because he had been sick with flu and dehydrated and fell and may have hit his head not because of a decline in cognitive functioning although I have noticed mild cognitive changes.
