What Does This ESR Level Indicate?

I recently got lab results and my esr was a 40.I am A 31 year old male and have had bronchitis, sinus infection and ear infection. Up to this winter i have beeb healthy and maybe get sick once a year.Should i be worried or is it possible to still have infection. Went in and got ear infection checked 7 days ago and doc said i had 20 percent of fluid still evident
