What Does This MRI Result Of Knee Joint Indicate?

Hi Doctor , As per thr MRI done of the Right Knee Joint the following impression, Please suggest whether surgery required and what type. Please check on the below ... Globular areas of mucoid degeneration in the posterior horn and posterior portion of body of medical menisus reaching almost upto root attachment. Horizontal tear reaching the inner edge of posterior horn/posterior body with irregular hypointense lesions within adjacent joint space, the latter possibly represent wisps meniscal tissue torn along the inner edge. Thin ACL with indistinct tibial attachment of the PLB suggesting a chronic tear. Thanks
