What Does This MRI Scan Results Indicate?

What does this mean? It s extreme painful and I m currently on diazapam, prednisone and percocets. Mri shied Left lateraizing annual tear with high signal intensity zone opposite the left L 4-5 neural foramen. So my question is this: will this tear heal or is it being masked by meds? The meds are great! Thanks for anyone s input.
