My two year old.daughter had an.xray today for pericardial effusion-thrombocytopenia NYD anemia hypoalbunemia/percardial drain insert (08/01) alteplase/broviac insert-cxr today re: f/u pericardial effusion.
Results are
Slight prominence in pulmonary vasculature with.ill-deffinition of the heart margins likely basis of pulmonary edema.
Bilateral small pleural effusions within major.fissures demonstrated on the lateral xray. No pneumothorax.

Could you explain this in plain English for me please lol we are hoping to have the drain removed and I was eatting when rounds were tonight so missed asking this of her dr. And what it means for having the drain removed and going.home this week. Thanks
