What Does This All This Say In Layman's Terms.. There
What does this all this say in layman's terms.. there is maintenance of the lumbar lordosis. There is no listhesis or compression fracture. The bone marrow signal is unremarkable. There is relative maintenance of intervertebral disc height. There is minimal loss of intervertebral disc signal noted at L3/L4. The conus medullaris terminates at L1/L2 and is unremarkable.
There is a 18 mm T2 hyperintense lesion within the medial aspect of the superior left kidney which likely represents a cyst, as before. There is a small amount of nonspecific subcutaneous edema of the lower back.
T10/T11: Redemonstrated on sagittal images is a left lateral disc protrusion in the subarticular zone which is not included on axial images and less well assessed on this exam than on prior. This appears to contributes to mild central canal stenosis, as before.
T11/T12 through L1/L2: There is mild broad-based disc bulging which effaces the ventral CSF without significant central canal or neural foraminal narrowing.
L2/L3: No significant abnormality.
L3/L4: There is mild broad-based disc bulging which leads to minimal central canal narrowing when combined with ligamentum flavum infolding and facet joint arthrosis. There is mild left without significant right neural foraminal narrowing.
L4/L5: There is no significant posterior disc abnormality or focal disc herniation. There is mild ligamentum flavum infolding and facet joint arthrosis. There is mild left without significant right neural foraminal narrowing.
L5/S1: There is a mild broad-based disc bulge which is eccentric to the right without significant central canal narrowing. Disc bulging is eccentric to the right and abuts the exited right L5 nerve root in a far lateral location as on image 24 of series 6. There is mild to moderate right without significant left neural foraminal narrowing. There is bilateral facet joint arthrosis, right greater than left. Findings are essentially new when compared to prior MRI.
