What Does This Ultrasound Result Of Pregnancy Indicate?

Hi.My daughter-in-law is 9 weeks pregnant with her first child at 37 years old. Two weeks ago, at 7 weeks doctor saw/heard heartbeat. Uterine lining looked good and ultrasound of fetus looked good.Tonight, she went to the doctor feeling good....no bleeding or spotting, and no symptoms. The doctor said there was no heartbeat and then tested further and said there wasn't any good placental circulation. Should a second opinion be considered?
