What Does Throbbing On Side Of Face And Ear Indicate?

I have constant throbbing down left side of my face and in ear have cold lik symptoms heavy across eyes and forehead feeling like no power in my battery. Saw doc gave me medication clarithromycin and ear drops nearly 2 weeks and little improvement. Had blood test and throat swab still waiting on results. It has been nearly 3weeks since this condition started.
