What Does Tingling On Lips And Chins When On Dilantin Indicate?

Hello, I m 58 yr. old woman. I took a Dilantin for about 6 months after tumor removal and had emotional issues. I have not taken any anti siezure medication for almost 8 years. Went to a neurologist recently because of balance issues (falls), short term memory issues, continued tingling in my lip and chin. He prescribed Keppra 500mg twice a day. After the 4th day I became very irritable however, I continued to take 500mg twice a day but by the 8 day I became extreamly crazy angry with myself and with my situation. I stopped taking it. His concern was that my partial siezures would get worse if I don`t take medicine. Is it possible that they will just stay the same (bothersome and is a reminder of my prior brain tumor ) and NOT get worse?
