What Does Tricompartmental Articular Cartilage Fissuring Mean?

I have had an MRI scan undertaken on my left knee. Findings there is tricompartmental articular cartilage fissuring associated with subchondral oedematous changes. These changes are not typical for simple degeneration. The most severere changes involve the medial tibial plateau where there is full thickness cartilage loss and a large subchondral geode. I am a 65 year old female. I have now been waiting 2 years for treatment and the condition is worsening.
