What Does Vaginal Ultrasound Which Shows Thickening Of Uterine Wall Indicate?

I had period on 18th that was normal then went to doctor on 26th and they said I was pregnant and hcg was 34 and vaginal ultrasound showed thickening uterine wall I have had no cramping or spotting but there was no baby or sac on ultrasound am I pregnant or not ?
