What Does Watery And Brown Discharge From The Ear Indicate?

my son has been having recuring otitis he keeps on having antiiotics but i was never carreful to keep water out of his ears but this time i was careful and the discharge from his ear is not yellow and thick anymore but wtery and brown does that mean that it is healing
