What Does Watery Spot On Neck Indicate?

My boyfriend has a spot on his neck and the pus, which is very watery, smells awful. Could you please tell me what it is? He went to the doctors about 4 years ago and she mentioned something about a fat spot?? She didn't really explain and it's smelling vile now.
