What Does White Waxy Substance Under The Skin Indicate?
In the last 2 months, I have developed skin ulcers. Originally, it was visually diagnosed as a staph infection and was prescribed clindomycin.. no results. Second doctor confirmed diagnosis with a culture. Was prescribed cipro. Worked a bit, but did not cure. Now these spots have spread and become larger. Third doc asked how did I know it is staph? Responded by telling him doctor confirmation. He responded; doesn't look like staph. He put me on doxicycline and sent me on my way. I have just about completed my third antibiotic and this condition has still not gone away. I am very concerned. People continue to tell me that it doesn't look like staph. I have to agree bc these are ulcers, not boils. Recently I have noticed a white waxy substance under my skin (head to toe). This is most noticeable during and after a hot shower. Does anyone have any insight on my situation?
