What Does Yellow Discharge Indicate?

I have an iud for almost three years now i haven't had a pap smear in two years and i began to discharge yellow but it doesn't have a foul odor and have stomach cramps so i went to get tested today for std's but she said that my string wasn't there so i have another appointment in three weeks but she didn't say anything else and i'm worried what can this mean
