What Happens If The Birth Control Ring Is Not Inserted On Time?

Hello, I am 21 years old in a Long distance relationship.I am on Birth control, Generally it works out and when he is home the ring is in, however the next time he comes home the ring will have to be out. Currently the ring is out and has to go back in on March 7th. Which means it will have to be back out on March 28th. Will i ruin my cycle if I Do not insert the ring on March 7th and just wait until March 27th to put the ring back in? to avoid my period coming for the week we get to see each other?
