What Is "Mild Foci Of Linear Atelectasis In Left Lower

What is "Mild foci of linear atelectasis in left lower lobe. No pleural abnormality"?? I have shortness of breath, and have been exposed to radioactive nuclear waste material. Many in the exposure zone have lung cancer and pulmonary fibrosis. I am 48 years old, and I'm wanting to know if this is something to keep an eye on. Could this be early stage lung cancer or fibrosis?
