What Is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

I have been diagnosed with carpel tunnel syndrome which I can cope with, but I have severe pain in my shoulders, upper and lower arms, which is worse at night, also when it flares up I have a burning on my back between my shoulder blades. I have had this problem for 4 years, and it is getting worse. I live in Spain and have had a test which needles were inserted in my arms and sensors were attached to my fingers, I was then diagnosed with carpel problems. I sometimes cannot raise myself up in bed without help, my husband pulls me up through the pain, rest does not help.I have a couple of weeks of the problem being easier, then it is back with a vengence, can you help.
