What Is Causing Mucus And Blood Discharge From My Throat After An Injury To My Face?

Hi there. On Thursday night I was punched in the left eye and left temple. Yesterday afternoon I had the sensation of mucus running down the back of my throat and the urge to spit it out and it was like a mucusy blood and very red. It has happened again this morning and the colour is darker. I didn´t have this before the injury. Can you help? Should I be worried? Thanks.
