What Is Causing Sharp Pain In The Right Side Throat?

For the past 5 days, ive had a sharp pain in the right side of my throat that when i swallow hurts more. It has gotten progressively worse and id like to know what could be causing it. It feels like i have a canker sore in my throat only more severe, or a cut that hasnt healed yet. i also have a swollen right lymph node. what could it be?
