What Is Likely To Be Going On When I See

What is likely to be going on when I see a dark spot out of my left eye when I cover my right eye. I've worn glasses for many years and my vision has always been weaker in my left eye. I haven't had an eye checkup in the past year but plan to have an eye appointment soon.
