What Is The Black Spot On The Ball Of My Big Toe?

I am 24 and weigh 215. I'm 6'3". I am athletic and recently noticed a dark blue/black spot on the ball of my big toe. I don't recall injuring it. As far as I know, it has only been there for a couple days. It is not painful at all. It is under the surface.
