What Is The Brown Itchy Patch On The Waist?

since 2 weeks i have got a light brown 1 cm brown patch above my waist left side, yes itchy but as i researched i found leading to melanoma and skin cancer, i am very scared, could it be something else as i replaced my soap to seba med & apply derma veen cream all over my body, help me please
