What Is The Cause And Treatment For Back Pain After A Lower Back Surgery?

I had lower back surgery 11 days ago. My doctor told me he inserted a needle to my left forearm to test my nerve endings during surgery. 1 day after I came home from hospital, I now have 3 fingers that feel and look dead, I can not tie my shoe or zip my pants and etc. My wrist is also in a lot of pain. Another doctor is sending me for a EGM test tomorrow. Is this condition permanent with my hand?
