What Is The Cause And Treatment For Bald Spots On Face?

I have a dime sized bald spot on my face. I read online some and it looks like it could be Alopecia areata (even though no tests are done) HOWEVER... this is odd. It will grow the hair back and then change places on my face. It is now on the 4th or 5th place on my face, always the same size. It stays bald for a few weeks, then grows hair and the spot moves to a different place on my face. It's very odd. What can cause this? And thank you for your insight.
