What Is The Cause Of Hair Growth On Stomach And Breast Area?

I have noticed what looks like small thin hairs on my stomach and breast area. Upon using tweezers to pull them out I notice it is a thin white "string" looking hair. Is this normal? I am a 32 yo female, realative good health, and yes I am overweight and working on weight loss at this time.
