What Is The Difference Between Bipolar 1 And Bipolar 2 Disorder?

I m still really confused by the difference between bipolar I and bipolar 2 disorder. I was diagnosed with bipolar about 7 months ago, although I hide it for overt 8 yrs at least, I ve been told I have bipolar 1 then bipolar 2 then bipolar 1 then back to bipolar 2 HELP! ?!?
