I am in process of getting 2nd opinion regarding hip replacement surgery. My current physician specializes in the posterior approach. The 2nd opinion I seek is a specialist in the anterior approach. Can you tell me the major differences between the 2 approaches? I have heard recovery time and difficulty is significantly favorable with the anterior approach.
