What Is The Expiry For Birth Control Pills?

I am living in South Korea and brought some extra Birth Control with me. I got them from my pharmacist in the end of November, 2010. It is now almost April of 2011. Are the pills still effective, as I wanted to start taking them for the arrival of my boyfriend in May.
