What Is The Life Expectancy In An Alcoholic Liver Cirrhosis Patient?

I m really worried about my brother who is in the hospital right now. He was admitted under the influence and looks in poor condition. The doctor had a sonogram of his abdomen and blood tests run. We will not know the results until tomorrow. My gut is telling me he has end stage alcoholic liver cirrhosis. He looks terrible! Any insight so I may sleep tonight?
