What Is The Numbness In Hands While Sleeping And Discharge Through Breasts?

Hi, My mother has been having numbness in hands while sleeping and occassional discharge from the breast. Some time ago she was reporting pain in the lower side of left breast, on consulting, the doctor just said it was due to gastric trouble... i am worried.. does this indicate anything serious??
