What Is The Recovery Period After Cauterizing Nostrils?

Had my nose cauterized on right side nostril today. Hard to breath because that side is stuffy plus I have a lot of burning in my nostril and some pain in my teeth and sinus passage under my eye on that side. Is this normal and how long will this discomfort last. I seem to be able to breath a little better if I put a peice of tissue into the cauterized nostril.
