What Is The Recovery Time For Complicated Migraine?

I just had a "complicated migraine" 5 days ago with 3 days in hospital. I am taking Verapamil. Should I have been discharged with anti-migraine meds? I only get migraines 2-3 times a year. This attack was out of the blue but resulted in stroke symptoms incl. right side weakness, slurred speech, numbness in face etc. which have not yet resolved. How long should I expect recovery to take? Thanks. Tracy
