What Is The Red Painless Spot On The Penis?

i have a small red dot on the shaft of my penis. it is about the size of a pencil eraser but is relatively flat and does not bulge out. it does not itch and it is painless. any idea what this could be? i have had it for about 5 days and it doesn't seem to be going away
