What Is The Remedy For Rash?

I have a case of Dermatitis medicamentosa after taking Augmentin (anti-biotic containing penicillin). I'm on antihistamine tablets as well as cortisone. The rash still keeps on appearing. How long will it take until it goes away? why does the rash worsen and not get better with the meds?
