What Is The Sharp Pain Lower Abdomen Followed By Blood Clot Discharge?

Last night I had a very sharp pain in my lower abdomen on the right side that seemed to last all night. But in the morning when I went to the bathroom I passed a blood clot the size of a baseball. The pain is still there but not as sharp. So I make a doctor appointment?
