What Is The Treatment For A Swollen Bruise In The Shin?

Recently i was hit in the shin with a hockey stick and it started swelling like a bruise but the skin broke and it started bleeding. About an hour later it stopped bleeding but i noticed there was a fairly large lump and some bruising going on. About weeks later the bruising went down and it stopped hurting but there is still a hard bump and it seems as if it caves in in the middle where she scar/ scab is. what is it?
