What Is The Treatment For Bad Odor Discharge From The Navel?

Hi. I am 49. I had a smelly discharge from my navel and was told there is an infection which is being treated with a topical antibiotic. Hoever, I have noticed a tiny growth (small protrusion) in the navel. The navel area is still releasing blood and after a week (the smell is gone). My concern is the growth. Thank you.
