What Is The Treatment For Burning Sensation In The Head?

2 weeks after being hit by a golf ball on the head, my wife is complaining of a burning sensation on the skin of her head. This did not arise initially but has been a sympton for the lasst 7 days or so .She does not have any bruises on her head and her CT which was carried out after 24 hours of the injury was fine. The doctor had earlier prescribed non steroidal anti inflammatory drug for 5-10 days (ibubrufen, naproxen) which do not seem to alleviate the condition although they did help in reducing her headache which she also had. Any suggestions? Age 43 height 5 ft 4 inches weight 53kg
