What Is The Treatment For Cough And Rib Cage Pain?

hello doc, i have been sick like 1 month now just on and off cough..i keep coughing with plegm..everytime i'm coughing, i feel sharp pain in my right lower part of my ribs part at back then on the side of it....then now i think on left side too..both side had sharp pain..and sometimes before i can cough loud i have to hold my back because it so hurts me a lot...is this affect now my lungs..hope not...i do drink hot tea with lemon and honey with lemon but still have cough...then i buy meds today..ambroxol 75mg...is this i take with meals or without meals?...tnx doc
