What Is The Treatment For Hemorrhoids?

My brother suffers from hemorroids, he didn't say anything, but was bleeding for about 3 days or longer, now he has low red blood count and has already had 2 transfusions, levels went up from 7.4 to 8.6. I asume he'll need more transfusions, and then he'll need surgery for the hemorroid problem.

My question is, how risky are these low levels he's experiencing, and is another transfusion safe and will it do?
