What Is The Treatment For Influenza And Severe Headache?

I had the flu with a cough for several days and by the third or fourth day when I could cough I got a terrible headache. Now I constantly have had a headache for tw days and it becomes severe when I cough...can a cough cause a terrible headache and if so, do I need to see a DR about it?
