What Is The Treatment For Irregular Menstruation?

I am 28 year old married lady. I have irregular periods - when I have proper period I have it for at least 6 to 7 days with very heavy flow and when I dont have - it is like staining my undergarment for a day or two. I am looking forward to having a child and thus need your help.
