What Is The Treatment For Jock Itch?

My bf has jock itch, my first question is, before he started using the spray we had intercourse multiple times, can he spread his jock itch to me because my vagina right near insertion point has been itching a bit. Also, should we avoid intercourse while he is using medication to heal his jock itch?
