What Is The Treatment For Nose Bleed?

the past few mornings i wake up and get out of bed and all of a sudden my nose starts gushing blood. Thick blood like boogers come out right away and blood just starts oozing out. After a few min of gushing, another thick blood booger comes out and it just stops bleeding then and there. It is only from the left nostril. What is the cause of this and how may i stop it?
