What Is The Treatment For Pain In The Left Arm And Hand?

This is embarrasing, but I have had terrible pain in my left arm . an aching pain all the way down to my fingers. This seems to happen when my bowel if full. After I empty my bowels, the pain goes away? this has happened several times and I am now making the connection. What could this be?
