What Is The Treatment For Persistent Cough And Headache?

I had that 'bug' over Christmas with very bad cough which eventually went away. the cough came back about 6weeks ago and I had very bad phlem, I spoke to my doctor who said inhale which I did. After three weeks it was worse my chest wrattled and wheezed and hurt I went back to the doctor who said I may have had a chest infection which had gone and it has left me with tempory ashma. I was given a steroid inhaler and a ventolin inhaler, after taking these for two weeks it was slightly better but still wheezing, I went back to the doctor who said continue with the inhalers and also take 6 prednislone tablets in the morning as well. I have just come to the end of a two week course of these tablets and although the cough slightly better but my chest is still very tight and if I go up the stairs I cannot get my breath, I have also developed a racing heart (like youve been running) dry mouth, sore tongue everything tastes horrible and bad headaches and sick feeling in the stomach. I am due to see the doctor again in two days time, should I ask for a xray?
