What Is The Treatment For Severe Neck Pain?

I went to the doctors serveral times with neck pain. today my doctor told me that he thinks it is my carodid artery that is swollen, i am also having problems with my legs going to sleep for the last couple of days. my blood pressure is slightly high for me 144/90. do you have any suggestions of what this might be?
