What Is The Treatment For Swollen And Painful Calf?

My daughter is 14 years old, is 5'5", 125lbs and injured her knee in the long jump last week. The orthopedic said to give it a week to ten days before we do an MRI to see if it improves and to use crutches but start putting weight on it. She still can't bend it and is still using the crutches. We noticed today that her calf is now swollen and it hurts to touch it and it's cold to the touch. her knee is also very swollen and discolored. Is this something I should be concerned about?
