What Is The Treatment For Swollen And Painful Throat?

Yes, I rescently had a issue,while eating. I shallowed a peice of food wrong and it got stuck in my throat. The peice of food came back up, but my throat has hurt to shallow anything since then. I went to a local Health clienic and got an x-ray and some medication. That was 3 days ago. My throat still hurts to shallow, but I'm able to eat and drink, and my voice is still alittle raspy but not as bad. I also got a call from the local Hospital wanting me to do Radiology tests. The problem is I don't have that kind of money. Over all I feel fine. Is this a serious issue that will heal over time, or Do I need to seek more medical help. Like I said I feel fine, and at the time the doctors at the clinic didn't inform me of any serious issues.
